be a pattern for them in your love, your faith, and your clean thoughts".

At SUMC, we strive to provide an atmosphere where kids find acceptance and encouragement to grow in understaning of their connection with Christ in order to grow in faith and come to accept God's saving grace for themselves. We help our kids build relationships with others, motivate them to share their faith openly and give them the tools necessary to live out what they learn. It is the goal of Children's Ministry to build and develop a team of faithful and committed leaders who love God, love kids, and are willing to share the responsibility for moving the ministry toward our purpose of leading children to a personal and life long relationshipo with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

SUMC and its leaders are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our ministries. We have adopted guidelines to protect first the children and youth who participate, and secondly, our adult volunteers and staff. All volunteer and staff interested in working with children and/or youth are required to complete our Safe Sanctuary screening procedures and become familiar with all church policies.
If you are interested in becoming involved in children's ministry leadership at SUMC, please contact teresa.roberts@emailsumc.net, Director of Children's Ministry for details and information.
